- Aroma
- Nice hint of boysenberry, and a little malt.
- Appearance
- Dark brown with a moderate light brown head. The head dissipates quickly. A little Belgian lace, but it may be my glass that made it dissipate less than normal.
- Flavor
- Tangerine with some Belgian funkiness from the yeast. Could be some boysenberry towards the middle, but hard to say. No hop bitterness or flavor.
- Mouthfeel
- Medium full body with some nice carbonic bite. Definitely on the dry side, but the yeastiness makes it more perceptible.
- Overall
- A seasonal nice beer, but not my favorite. As it warms up a bit, the Belgian character comes out more, but there is still a ton of citrus and if it wasn't for the yeast, I would never guess it was Belgian. I assume it was meant to be a Dubbel as the base.
