I've read conflicting stories of what this beer is. Is it a bock? No. Is it a big California Common? No. I think it really is just an experimental beer and will judge it as that.
Aroma
Hints of floral hop, but not much on the initial pour. Some syrupy maltiness.
Appearance
Thick off-white head which doesn't persist long. Dark copper and slightly cloudy (dry hopped?).
Flavor
Lots of malt with some alcohol warming. There is some bitterness that comes through in the back. The bitterness lingers into the finish.
Mouthfeel
Very heavy, syrupy. Some carbonic bite.
Overall
A very big beer with a ton of malt. I like the beer, but it's not a session beer :) Since this is my last and only bottle, I will savor it. As far as I can tell LAG Lagunator Lager is a one time release.
