Benediktiner Weissbier Review

Beer Style
ABV
5.40%
Aroma

Lots of banana and some clementine orange. Hints of grape and wheat. No hop aroma. Very little clove. No malt.

Appearance
Gold and very cloudy. Big creamy white head with moderate head retention.
Flavor
Clove predominates. Hints of apple and spice. Not much banana or other fruit. No hop flavor. Slightly sour. The finish does get a little bit more banana and is fairly clean. A little bit of oxidation (wet cardboard).
Mouthfeel
Medium-light mouthfeel with good carbonation. Slightly creamy finish, and some astringency.
Overall
This is probably a much better beer, but seems to be old and oxidized. I would like to try it at the brewery to see what a fresh version is like.
